Those who know me, or at least know of me, have often marveled at the craziness of my vagabond life.
Eh, not really. They just place bets on how long I'll last in one spot before I get what RV'ers call the "itchy hitch". LOL
You know though, much as my son (CJ) and I absolutely LOVE to travel, we're getting tired.
- Tired of organizing and re-organizing when we leave or arrive.
- Tired of the butt ache from long-distance driving.
- Tired of the limitations of our aircard, mifi device and shared wifi service.
- Tired of not being able to watch the changing seasons from one beautiful spot.
- Tired of not being able to plant our own garden and watch it grow.
Don't get me wrong. Netflix is a fabulous service and boy are we grateful for that! It's just that, as much as we chafe at the bit when it comes to routines and the "sameness" of everyday life, there's also a small part of us that wishes we had that comfort sometimes too.
We'd also LOVE to add horses to our menagerie. This means a barn, space to run and stability on the home front. Putting down roots is starting to look more appealing.
Will this feeling last? That's the two million dollar question that keeps me from just plunking down somewhere and sticking it out.
How does anyone stay in one place for so long and not get bored or tired or even resentful?
Live long and prosper,
