We love to have some hands-on fun with science but safety is a big concern for us. That makes us really picky about what we use for our science curriculum.
Well, last week we discovered a free rocketry teleclass a little before lunchtime, attended it a couple of hours later, got hooked on the teacher's style (she used to work for NASA), signed up for the entire curriculum and finished the day up with a kid-built hovercraft project.
What can we say? We're cool like that.
Actually, any kid can do these projects.
The snap rocket was made out of paper that was folded and cut a specific way (to fly 75 feet or more!). The miniature hovercraft was made out of an old CD and a water bottle.
Yeah, they are that easy. They are also unbelievably cool!
These are just a few of the classes you can take for FREE:
- Astronomy Tour of the Galaxy
- Catapults
- Chemistry
- Electricity
- Hovercraft
- Light Waves
- Magnetism
- Rocketry
- Roller Coasters
- Sound Vibrations
- States of Matter
If you are interested in the big enchilada - the entire 600+ science project curriculum we signed up for - you need to get Supercharged.
Have fun and stay safe,

P.S. Yes, we really signed up for this (we can prove it). Yes, it's become our science curriculum. Yes, we signed up to be an affiliate once we figured out how awesome this is! So sign up, have fun learning science and help support the Club, why dontcha? =)
